What we get up to on the weekend...

So it started out an ordinary sunny Saturday. The air was hot and sticky, there was a slight breeze ruffling the leaves and the gang decided to make their way to a little desolate spot on the beach. Next to an abandoned haunted house there's a little beach pub, Beach Bums some call it, and this is the place we chose to wile away the hours. This is when the party began...

Out to Sea

Being back at work has definitely been cutting into my photography time!! I'm definitely going to try get some photos done this weekend, here's hoping the weather is nice!! But in the meantime, to keep you going, here is a shoot I did towards the end of last year when I went sailing with a friend. The evening light was amazing and I definitely could have stayed out there all day photographing, it was amazing!!

Urban decay photography, some may see it as a cliche now, done too often, a fleeting fad. But I absolutely love the feeling and stillness an old, broken down building can portray. Even in its decay it gives a sense of having lived, having seen things pass between it's floors. Above all there is just something so beautiful in it's despair and desolation. Here are a few of my favourite photographs from my collection.
